The University of Olivet offers a strong liberal arts curriculum focusing on individual and social responsibility. We offer students an opportunity to have an immersive, residential, small college relationship-based experience. Since 1849, Olivet has defined itself by who it includes, not who it excludes. Our student body of nearly 900 undergraduate students is one of the most diverse among Michigan’s private colleges; half of the student body are first-generation college students. 

The University of Olivet offers 34 majors and 26 minors, in addition to a Graduate School offering a Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Counseling, and a Master of Arts in Leadership.  Our students have access to internship and research opportunities, service learning, travel abroad courses, and much more. The University of Olivet is a founding member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and fields 22 men’s and women’s NCAA athletic teams. In addition, Olivet offers an array of co-curricular programs.

The University of Olivet will help you seamlessly transition to our campus. We’ll honor your earned credits and your out-of-pocket cost will be the same or less than what you had with Fontbonne University. We’ll help you stay on track, so you graduate in the same amount of time it would have taken you at Fontbonne University.

Steps to Transfer to The University of Olivet

You are welcome at Olivet! We want to make your transfer stress-free. A member of The University of Olivet admissions team will guide you through the process and be available to answer your questions.

To begin the admission and transfer process, complete three easy steps:

1. Complete the application for admission.

2. Ask for Fontbonne University to send all of your transcript(s) to us.

3. Complete your 2024 - 2025 FAFSA and add The University of Olivet as your school choice (school code: 002308).

After you have been formally admitted, a deposit of $150 will be required to reserve your space, and you will begin registering for housing and selecting your classes for the fall semester.
