Welcome to The University of Olivet family!
We understand that after receiving your financial aid offer, you might feel uncertain about covering the remaining balance. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed and confident about your options.
On the right, you'll find a variety of resources available to help manage any outstanding amounts. Unsure which option suits you best? Feel free to utilize any combination of these resources to settle your balance.
We recognize that this process can seem daunting, but remember, you're not alone. If you have questions or need assistance in developing the best plan, please reach out to us at FinAid@UOlivet.edu or call 269-749-7645. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Some families use funds from a checking or savings account, a college savings plan, or even a retirement account. You can make payments online, in person, or by mail — whatever’s easiest for you. Check out the UOlivet website for all the details on how to make a payment.
Want to break things up into smaller, manageable payments? UOlivet offers a payment plan that lets you pay over several months. It’s easy to set up and only costs $50 to activate. You can find payment plan information on the UOlivet website.
If you’d like to explore loan options, here are a few to consider:
- Direct PLUS Loan – This is a federal loan that parents (and grad students) can apply for to help cover your bill. It often comes with lower interest rates and flexible payment terms. You can learn more about it at studentaid.gov.
- Alternative/Private Loans – Banks and other financial institutions offer private loans. ELM and StudentChoice.org are two marketplaces you might use to consider options. These usually require a co-signer and might affect your credit score, so be sure to compare terms before deciding.
